Moonoia is a new, standalone organization as of December 2019, after previously being part of a Brussels-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company founded in 2011 to scan and process medical claims for Belgium’s largest health insurance providers.
For 8 years we have been handling what you might call the most difficult to read documents out there: handwritten, unstructured, multi-page and, let’s not forget, highly sensitive medical attestations were the everyday norm. Solving one complex challenge after another across all stages of the document workflow, we developed docBrain, an award-winning document-centric platform which uses machine learning (deep neural networks) to deliver high performance data extraction, validation and classification where traditional capture technologies fail to yield acceptable results.
Today, docBrain-powered solutions are simplifying business processes and driving digital transformation for industries as diverse as transportation, energy, finance, insurance and healthcare, across North America, Europe and the Middle East. All this while being template- and alphabet-agnostic, as the docBrain algorithms can be trained for virtually any type of vertical and any language.
Our new strategic partnerships for capital investment, most notably with the Wallonia-based financial fund provider Cayman Group, will support the further development of our flagship product docBrain together with our ambitious vision of providing high quality data extraction, automatically. Integrating with robotic process automation, mobile and other technologies, docBrain boosts performance of automated, mission-critical business processes, unlocking the value of company data and helping organizations to drive better decision-making.
