Launching a special blog series on the current state of AI-enabled process automation, Moonoia is honored to have ECM expert Zbigniew Smierzchala as guest writer. Zbigniew has 25 years of experience with content capture concepts and technologies (software and hardware). He worked in ECM context in sales, business development and product management roles for Kodak Eastman Software, EASY Software, Xerox and Hewlett-Packard.
Some say the decade is not over yet, but for us at Moonoia one thing is certain: 2020 sure looks like the beginning of a whole new era.
Moonoia is a new, standalone organization as of December 2019, after previously being part of a Brussels-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company founded in 2011 to scan and process medical claims for Belgium’s largest health insurance providers.
We were at the first edition of the AI Convention which took place this October in Brussels, where Moonoia -together with Contextor and Shoot &Prove - was the Platinum Sponsor and presented KAPTAIN - our transformative, AI-powered document processing app.

This October I attended, on behalf of Moonoia, the AIIM Executive Leadership Council (ECL) in London, and I thought I should share some insights from this meeting. Mostly because I was happy to discover that these findings fully support the mission of our organization: accelerating document process automation through cognitive capture.
Exciting times ahead!
One of Moonoia's top projects has been shortlisted for the "Digital Project of the Year 2017" competition organized by Data News, Belgium's reference magazine for the ICT industry. Together with the "CIO of the Year", the winning project will be announced during the award ceremony which will take place in Brussels on October 25th. Fingers crossed!
